Kaolin is a comfortable blouse or dress with a free-spirited style featuring aesthetic details such as pleats and gathers.

The inner finishes are carefully made for a flawless result without an overlocker.

You can make 3 versions: a blouse, a dress with an elasticated waist, or a flowing dress without shaping at the waist.

Recommended fabrics

This pattern will be perfect in a lightweight woven fabric (cotton poplin, viscose, linen, tencel…).

Note:

• For the dress version, the fabric width must not be less than 140 cm.

• Do not choose a fabric or print with a directional pattern.

Haberdashery

  • Between 1.45 m and 2 m of fabric for the blouse (1.6 - 2.2 yds).

  • Between 3.5 m and 4.1 m of fabric for the dress (3.8 - 4.5 yds).

  • A piece of fusible interfacing.

  • For the elasticated waist dress: a 1 cm wide elastic, length: 1.24 m - 1.8 m (1.4 - 2 yds).
