In January, I challenged myself to organize my workshop and also my thousands of scraps of all sizes 😱😱😱 and what is trendy to make with small scraps... well yes, wipes...
Final version
So, I got started with a first try, quite successful aesthetically but clearly not enough on the practical side because I had used bath sponge scraps for the sponge side. It's a bit rough for removing makeup. So I searched online for what was highly recommended for wipes and I found at chipote et papote, a very soft perfect fabric.
First version
Second version
Second observation after this first try, I thought I needed a small storage basket because the wipes on the sink looked messy.
It was off to version 2.0.

The "decor" fabric used comes from a scrap of a blue fabric tote bag with Shiba dog patterns from a small haberdashery in Morioka in Japan and the other scrap comes from a scrap of my personalized Fez pants from Maison Victor. That one also comes from Japan and is from Tokyo.
I chose to properly interline the basket so it would be nice and stiff and, on top of that, I made it reversible 😉 so if I get bored... hop, we change colors.

And when I showed the second version to my friends... I made more for them.
And here is what they chose.
Denim and pink mix

Black, red, and gold mix

In navy blue and white - so chic
I think they had good taste! I love the colors. And you?
