1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7… Violet, Violet… from Maison Fauve

Well yes... I made 7 of this pleasant 3/4 sleeve blouse model from Maison fauve. When you love it, you don’t count.
With its piping, buttons, and box pleat in the back, I never get tired of it. It is chic enough to be worn at work and to continue the evening out.

The technical points are:

This blouse is quite doable for someone with an intermediate sewing level. For a beginner, it is possible to simplify it by removing the piping and replacing it with a simple seam. Another way to simplify it is to replace the buttons with snaps, no need for buttonholes!
The blouse sews up relatively quickly once you have clearly understood the assembly steps. These are clearly explained by Emilie through the richly illustrated instruction booklet.

The violette blouse is offered as a pattern printed at the price of 15 euros or as a PDF at the price of 9.50 euros.
For this price, you will receive an instruction manual and the pattern sheet (large sheet in printed version or to print in A4 and glue).
Emilie kindly included 1 cm seam allowances.

The blouse is offered from size 34 to size 46, which corresponds to a bust measurement between 80 and 104cm and a waist measurement between 60 and 84cm.
I recommend making it in a lightweight fabric like cotton, soft viscose, plumetis, gauze... for a light and airy effect.

All kinds of fancy details are possible by playing with contrasting colored piping, neon, lurex effect... and buttons: pearls, mother-of-pearl, heart or daisy... or pearly, colored snaps... I also had fun modifying the pattern to make changes in the sleeve cut for a raglan effect.

So yes... while writing this article, I gave in again... and so I present to you my eighth violette. I chose to use a coupon brought back from Japan this year and purchased at Nomura Tailor in Kyoto.
