| WHAT YOU WILL NEED |
I used gabardine for the red and ochre versions (see tutorial) and it works well but avoid fabrics that are too stiff to prevent bulging at the lower belly.

• Main fabric: woven, non-stretch fabric like a lightweight gabardine. A flowing fabric will look elegant: wool suiting, crepe, taffeta.
• Lining: any lightweight woven cotton.
• Some lightweight fusible interfacing for the welt pockets
• Zipper: 18 cm/7 in long
• Button: 2 cm/0.8" diameter
