Daruma brand soft kogin cloth - gray color - 50X44cm

These pretty rectangular Daruma fabrics are used for kogin embroidery, a traditional Japanese counted stitch form.
The woven threads are easy to see and count.
Kogin embroidery features geometric patterns worked on evenly woven fabrics with an odd number of threads, usually 1, 3, or 5.
This method originates from northern Japan.
Different patterns have become popular over time, kogin embroidery has evolved from a necessity to an art form.
