The unisex sweatshirt with lined hood
Very comfortable shape, raglan sleeves. Sweatshirt: hip length
NB: Cut/volume close to the Jasmin pattern: similar hip length with a little more chest width to give a sporty look to the hooded sweatshirt. As always with ikatee, it is strongly recommended not to make the size above (so make a 3 years for a 3-year-old child according to the referenced measurement standards).
Ribbing or stretch fabric at the bottom of the body, cuffs.
Pockets in the side seams, front opening with buttons or snaps
Nice finishes: hood lining with enclosed seams
Sewing level: intermediate
What you will learn with this pattern:
set in a placket in the raglan armhole, set in a lined hood with enclosed seams, set in side pockets and cuff and bottom bands.
Size range : 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 years
Suggested fabrics:
- Main fabric 1: sweatshirt fabric, quilted sweatshirt, fleece, bamboo terry or light jersey
- Lining fabric 2: hood lining and opening placket, pocket bags and bottoms, preferably poplin or jersey or same as main fabric if it is thin
- Ribbing fabric 3 optional: for cuffs and bottom of body (cuffs and bottom can also be made in main fabric if it is stretchy enough)
Supplies
- Small piece of fine fusible interfacing for the button placket about 10x15 cm
- 3 sew-on buttons 15 to 20 mm in diameter
- Or 3 snaps for sweatshirt / anorak 15 mm in diameter
