This sashiko placemat features a Nordic star pattern
Choose your threads and colors, then following the lines drawn on the fabric, your sashiko stitches will define the image. 
The fabric is then washed to erase the lines.

Note: the placemats are only available with instructions in Japanese, but the diagrams and images used are very easy to follow.
