SEWING PATTERN FOR 4 SOFT TOY DESIGNS
LEVEL: BEGINNER
This pattern and tutorial allow you to create 4 different and timeless soft toy designs by simply swapping the nose and ears.
The MIMITO SOFT TOY is perfect for using small fabric scraps and thus reducing fabric waste.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS
Linen, lyocell, silk gauze, satin, cotton poplin, seersucker, flannel, denim cotton, corduroy or chambray. Avoid very stiff fabrics for a better result.
If your fabric is very thin, it is recommended to add fusible interfacing.
A patterned fabric can be used for the ears to create contrast with the rest of the body.

FABRIC REQUIRED
This pattern is perfect for using small fabric scraps and thus reducing fabric waste.
Make sure to cut your fabric along the grain for the best finish.
SUPPLIES
- Fabric
- Threads
- Stuffing (polyester, cotton balls, fabric scraps...)
- Small 7cm embroidery hoop (if you have one but not essential)
PDF PATTERN
This pattern is available in Projector, Print At Home, and Copy Shop formats.
The PROJECTOR pattern can be opened with Adobe Acrobat. Make sure your projector is calibrated and carefully measure the test square to ensure the pattern is at the correct scale. If you use a dark-colored fabric, change the projector file’s color so the pattern and text are easier to see.
The Copy Shop pattern can be printed on a single A3 sheet at a print shop. It must be printed at 100% scale and with “Auto” orientation. Remember to check the test square on the pattern before leaving the shop to ensure it was printed at the correct scale.
The Print At Home pattern can be printed at home at 100% scale, from any A4 or US Letter printer and contains only 3 pages.
You can also adjust the print scale to make a larger or smaller soft toy.
SEAM ALLOWANCES
All seam allowances are included in the pattern.
