TOP AND SWING DRESS (Pattern and tutorial available in French and English)

SIZE 18 MONTHS TO 12 YEARS
LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE

The LILA dress and top (as well as a large part of the ATELIER MIMITO patterns) have been designed so that your child can grow in their clothes and thus reduce excessive wardrobe changes.
This pattern, accompanied by its tutorial, allows you to create a swing dress or a top fully finished with bias binding and gathers all along the neckline for a maximum flutter effect.

RECOMMENDED FABRIC
Linen, lyocell, silk muslin, satin, cotton poplin, seersucker, flannel, denim cotton, velvet, or chambray. Avoid fabrics that are too stiff.
Two layers of fabric can be used for this project. Tulle can be added to create more volume or an embroidered or sheer fabric such as organza.

SUPPLIES
- Fabric
- Thread
- 1 button
- Round elastic
- 2m x 2cm folded bias binding (You can make it yourself.)

PDF PATTERN

With Adobe Acrobat Reader, it is possible to project or print only the chosen size by selecting the corresponding “layer”. 

The PROJECTOR pattern can be opened using Adobe Acrobat. You can deselect the sizes you do not need and display only the desired size. Make sure your projector is calibrated and carefully measure the measurement square to ensure the pattern is at the correct scale. If you are using a dark-colored fabric, change the projector file’s color so that the pattern and text are easier to see.

The Copy Shop pattern can be printed on a single A0 sheet at a shop. It must be printed at 100% scale and with “Auto” orientation. Remember to check the measurement square on the pattern before leaving the store to ensure the pattern was printed at the correct scale. 

The Print At Home pattern can be printed at home at 100% scale, from any A4 or US Letter printer. It contains 15 pages that must be assembled after first trimming the margins of the sheets. Tape them together following the page number order.
