The Valadon vest is a small open sweater, slightly loose, gathered at the waist and cuffs.

Its wrap-style cut, with a crossed fastening of 2 buttons, 4 buttons, or a simple knot will allow you to vary the styles.

You can have fun with pretty wool knits for a guaranteed knitted effect 😉. You can also choose a soft woven fabric, a sweatshirt fabric, thick jersey, etc…

The pattern is offered with its 3 variations.

We wanted to design a wardrobe essential for women: this small open vest easy to wear.
Indeed, you know that sweater always within reach. The one you put on at the first chill. The one that matches a simple dress. The one you wear with jeans every day. Or the slightly smart one for night outings…
We appreciate its wrap shape, which offers a delicate neckline, its loose cut long enough to cover the hips, and very slightly puffed, and its touch of originality with its closure at the bottom by two or four buttons or a pretty knot.

The available sizes range from 34 to 48.

Level 2 – Intermediate

You will learn to:

– Set in sleeves
– Attach a belt
– Prerequisite: straight sewing

Making time : about 3 to 4 hours

Supplies:

• Recommended fabrics: wool knit, soft wool fabric, tweed, sweatshirt fabric, thick jersey, …
• A spool of matching thread
• Light fusible interfacing (optional, but recommended for buttonholes)
• 2 or 4 buttons or 1 snap fastener

Fabric length:

• 1.70 m at 140 cm width
• 2.5 m at 110 cm width

Note: Seam allowances are included in the pattern (1 cm).
