Huanchaco is a pattern for surf-style swim shorts for boys, available from 2 to 16 years old.

This model is characterized by a band on the sides, as well as a hem edged with binding and rounded in shape at the sides. The binding runs along the leg on either side of the side band, highlighting it. Optionally, you can add a yoke at the top of the back and pockets at the front, neatly hidden behind the binding. The (false) fly is simply topstitched.

Two lengths are offered: mid-thigh and above the knee.

You can add a lining in the shape of briefs (mesh lining) or boxer shorts (lycra). The boxer also comes in two lengths: choose the shorter for the mid-thigh shorts, and the short or long boxer for the longer shorts.

The front of the waistband is flat and equipped with a drawstring, the waistband is elasticated at the back. The lacing tabs are optional.
