Available in children’s sizes (from 2 years to 14 years) and women’s sizes from 34 to 48, the pattern offers 2 lengths: shorts or bermuda (a bit longer, for example to make a cuff).

This garment can be worn both in summer (tencel, linen, denim, broderie anglaise, …) and in winter or mid-season (for example in velvet or tweed), paired with a small pair of tights.

It is put on thanks to a “bridge” opening (that is, buttoned at the front), which avoids having to add a fly, and gives it a nice nautical style.

The shorts also feature pockets (integrated into this bridge) so as not to overlook its practical aspect!

• Prerequisites: straight sewing and hand sewing, buttonholes (but you can also check out the tutorial if that scares you 😉!)

• Recommended fabrics: cotton cloth, or linen, chambray, velvet, jacquard, tweed, flannel, fine gabardine …
• A spool of matching thread
• 6 buttons
• 50cm of elastic ribbon with buttonholes for the children’s version
