The sewing pattern for the flowing Livia top is a sleeveless, flowing summer model, delivered in PDF format.
Several versions are possible and explained in the instruction booklet.

  • With small ruffles
  • With large ruffles
  • Extended into a dress

Required materials and fabric advice

Materials:

  • Sewing machine
  • 1.5 m of fabric for the top / 2 to 3 m for the dress (depending on the desired length)
  • Bias tape (if you do not have any ready-made, the instructions include how to make it from your chosen fabric)

Fabric :

For a result like the demonstration photos and if you are new to sewing, I recommend an easy-to-sew fabric with some body such as cotton or linen. You can also choose cotton gauze (bias tape may be trickier to sew in this case, but you can buy it ready-made!).

It is also possible to choose a more flowing or light fabric such as viscose or muslin; in this case, the large ruffle may droop, but it can create a different style).

The Livia top pattern is not designed for stretch fabrics (knits like jersey).
