Supplies:

• Fusible interfacing, 6 cm
• Fusible bias tape, 1 m (Stabilmanche by Vlieseline)
• Elastic, 1 cm wide, length: your half bust measurement
• Safety pin, to insert the tie and elastic
• Single-needle presser foot (one sole), to sew the tie
• Cord type “rat tail”, 150 cm, to turn the tie

The tie that tightens the neckline is sewn from the same fabric as the garment. If you prefer a commercial cord, allow 130 cm in length and a diameter of 5 to 7 mm maximum (the casing is 10 mm).
