The Charlotte top is a one-size top to tie at the front.
You can choose to fully line it to make a completely reversible top, and thus have fun with solid/patterned fabric combinations!
I can easily see the Charlotte top worn at the beach over a swimsuit. You can also make a casual combination with mom jeans and a pair of sneakers.
Finally, you can also make it an evening top, paired with chic crepe pants and a pair of heels!
In its unlined version, the top is accessible to sewing beginners.
You will need to be intermediate level for the lined version.

Necessary supplies
You will need for making the Charlotte top:
- 1.80 m of fabric in a 1.40 m width
- One 100m spool of thread
If you line your top:
1.80 m of lining in a 1.40 m width
Sewing advice
The Charlotte top can be sewn in different materials: double gauze, broderie anglaise, a fairly fine tencel, linen, linen viscose, soft cottons, satin...
In its lined version, the Charlotte top is fully reversible! So you can have fun with different fabric combinations to sew it.
For beginners, I would recommend cotton or linen as the preferred material AND sewing the unlined version, the lined version being much more technical.
