Icare is much more than a basic: it is a short, semi-fitted women's tee-shirt with positive ease, and a round, slightly open neckline. With its options, it will quickly become one of your essentials:
- short sleeves, with or without cuffs, or long;
- simple version or tied at the front.
You will easily be able to adjust its length thanks to the information present on the pattern and in the booklet.
Icare is preferably sewn with a serger, but you can totally sew it entirely with a sewing machine.

Size guide
This pattern is designed for a height of 1.65 m. It is available from size 32 to 52.
The most important measurements for this pattern are height and waist circumference. if you hesitate between 2 sizes, choose the larger one.
If you want an oversized effect, feel free to size up.

Required materials
Fabric
Choose a lightweight to medium weight jersey/knit fabric (120 to 250g/m2) with at least 30% elasticity: Cotton jersey, viscose, bamboo… Avoid jerseys with low recovery*, especially linen jersey, which will cause the neckline to gape with the method proposed here. You can cut the collar and cuffs in rib knit fabric. *recovery = the fabric's ability to return to its original shape after being stretched.
Small haberdashery
- Some matching thread, needles suitable for your fabric (single jersey and double needles)
- Some fusible stretch straight grain interfacing like Vlieseline T15 or laminette.
- Optional: 26 cm of ribbon for the back neckline clean finish.
