What you will learn by sewing Jimmy

With the Jimmy pattern you will learn to:

• Apply lastin to prevent shoulder lengths from distorting

• Sew cuff, waist, and neckline bands on knit fabric

• Create a clean finish on the back neckline

Recommended fabrics

A knit with 20% elasticity.

• Fleece, french terry, polar fleece, knitted fabrics, velvet jersey…
• Ribbing for collar, cuffs, and hem bands (optional, it is possible to cut these
  bands in the same fabric as the body of your sweatshirt)
• A scrap of jersey or lightweight cotton matching your fabric (optional) for finishing
  Back neckline, only if you choose the "best finished" option

Depending on the fabric weight, the drape of your sweatshirt will be different:

The heavier the fabric, like my pink version (280 g/m²), the pleats will hold and be more defined.
The lighter the fabric, the softer the pleats will be (cream and navy blue versions).
