Sheebam is a pattern for shorts or lightweight trousers for girls, available from 2 to 16 years old.

The model is worn on the hips. The waistband is elasticated and may be topped with a ruffle or not. Sheebam can be sewn with pockets, whose openings can be decorated with a ruffle, piping, or braid…

Two cuts are offered for the shorts: a flared cut that rises slightly on the side and whose hem is adorned with a flounce (version A) or a simple straight cut (version B).

The trousers have a straight cut, like the simple shorts (version B).

The waistband is elasticated for maximum comfort and can be topped with ruffles.

Depending on the fabric used and the chosen version, Sheebam can be made as pajama bottoms, shorts, or lightweight trousers for summer.

To preserve the lightness of the flounces in version A, they are either lined, hemmed with a rolled hem, or decorated with a lace braid.

This pattern for shorts or trousers does not present any particular difficulty but requires some care in making the gathers. Its simplest version is very quick to sew.
