Gecko is a pattern for swim/sport shorts for boys, available from 2 to 16 years old.

This model offers two lengths (mid-thigh and above the knee).

For a swim short version, you can add a slip-shaped lining (in mesh lining) or a boxer-shaped lining (in lycra).

For a sport short version, choose the boxer lining (in jersey or lycra).

The boxer lining also comes in two lengths, so by choosing the shortest short with the longest lining, it will extend beyond the hem of the short for a very stylish effect!

You can also make the shorts without lining.

The pockets are optional and trimmed with a wide turn-up. The waistband is elasticated with an optional drawstring.

With its rather classic and comfortable cut, Gecko is the ideal swim short to accompany your boys to the beach or during their summer leisure activities. More original, the version with boxer lining provides good support, allowing Gecko to also be used as sport shorts. Finally, sewn without the lining, Gecko is a simple short to sew without restraint!

The version without pockets is very quick and easy to sew. The pockets require a bit of care. This swim/sport short pattern can be made with a sewing machine or an overlocker.
