Discover the Pattern Jackie – The Compact and Practical Backpack

Jackie is the perfect backpack to combine usefulness and style. Designed in a compact size, it is ideal for carrying all the essentials, whether for an adult or a child.

This model stands out with its piped zipped pocket on the front, adding an elegant and practical touch, as well as a large inner pocket for optimal organisation. The two adjustable fabric shoulder straps can be replaced with webbing straps for a more technical look. A handy handle on top allows for easy grabbing.

Fully lined for a flawless finish, Jackie is a rewarding project for sewers of intermediate level. The pockets, although optional, add that little detail that makes all the difference.

  • Pockets: piped zipped pocket on the outside and large inner pocket (optional)
  • Straps: fabric or can be made in webbing

With Jackie, sew a unique and practical bag, perfect to accompany young and old every day!To make this pattern you will need:

- 80cm of fabric + 80cm of lining
- 1 zip: 45 cm
- 1 zip: 15 cm (outer pocket)
- 30cm of 1cm wide elastic

- Fusible interfacing
- a sewing machine

If the fabric you have chosen is too thin you can fuse it with interfacing.

Seam allowances are included and visible on the pattern.

This pattern can be made with many materials: Velvet, Jacquard, Denim, Woollen fabric, ...

Prints:

The pattern is available in PDF A4 and A0. You can print only the size you need thanks to the Adobe Acrobat PDF application (See the explanation in the booklet of the folder). Choose the layer of your size, the "Base" layer for information and the "Marks" layer for cutting.

Your printer must be set to actual size 100% or custom scale 100%

We advise you to always print the first page to measure the test square.

Assembly:

Cut the margins on each sheet and assemble them by matching the marks. An assembly visual is available in your PDF folder.
