Mazurka is a pattern for a vest or wrap-over sweater for girls, available from 2 to 16 years old.

The fit is close to the body and reaches the waist (at the narrowest point). The sleeves can be fitted or wide; in the latter case, they are gathered at the shoulder and finished with a wristband. The neckline is finished with a facing.

The front consists of two panels that cross over. They extend into a tie for the vest version, or are held together with a hem band for the sweater version. The tie of the vest version can be fastened at the side or at the back.

Supplies:

Mazurka is sewn with a knitted fabric having at least 30% stretch. Avoid fabrics that are too thick or that have little body.
If you think your fabric is too thick, you can cut the facing and finishing bands in matching jersey.
Note that the wristbands for the wide sleeves must be cut from fabric with at least 60% stretch.
