The Salem pants adapt well to different types of fabrics. However, I strongly advise you to make a toile in a fabric close to the chosen fabric. Depending on the material and your body shape, the drape of these pants can be very different.
Supplies:
– Fusible interfacing according to the weight of your fabric, up to 50cm
– Invisible zipper 20cm
– Elastic, height 2cm, length: half a waist circumference (to be adjusted according to the weight of your fabric, the heavier the fabric, the less elastic length will be needed)
– Special presser foot for invisible zipper
– Rib foot (with a single branch) to sew as close as possible to the elastic
Measurement chart:
To know your size, measure yourself using a tape measure and refer to the chart below.
The “hip” measurement is taken 20 cm below the waist.
