 I am Sunshine, a jean with 2 versions, with a balloon (slouchy) cut or a straight cut. I have all the details of a classic jean: Italian pockets, a lighter pocket, patch pockets at the back, rivets, a fly, a waistband with belt loops, and I am topstitched with contrasting thread.

All seam allowances are included.

The pattern pieces do not overlap. Once printed and assembled, you simply cut the pattern to your size and can start sewing.

The file includes the pattern in A4, US letter, A3, and A0 formats as well as two projection files. A step-by-step explanatory booklet with diagrams is also provided.

Pattern formats to download and print:

A4 / US letter – to print and assemble at home – 26 pages

A3 – to print at work (promise, we won’t tell) – 12 pages

A0 – large format file to be printed by a professional – 3 pages

Projection – one file on white background and one file on fuchsia background with a layer per size

  • Interfacing: 10 cm by 30 cm
  • 1 non-separable metal or polyester zipper 12 cm long
  • 1 jean button 18 mm diameter
  • Optional: 2 rivets to reinforce the front pocket openings
  • Optional: topstitching thread

RECOMMENDED FABRICS

Garment: Denim, cotton twill, smooth or corduroy velvet, gabardine, chambray, heavy linen … Choose a non-stretch fabric.

Pockets: Poplin, fine cotton cloth
