FABRICS:
- Versions 1 and 2: For the trouser versions, woven fabric from 190 to 220 g/m², with some fluidity and drape. Prefer a twill weave tencel or crepe, or a linen/tencel blend.
- Versions 3 and 4: For the bermuda/short version, you can opt for a crisper fabric such as linen, cotton poplin, or wild silk, but a tencel twill will also be perfect. It is also possible to use a non-stretch woven fabric intended for men's swim shorts (water-repellent microfiber).
- Note that the drier and less draped the fabric is, the more the garment will tend to puff out and move away from the leg.
- The prototypes in the photos are made from linen, dupioni silk, and tencel twill.
- All versions: Patterned/striped fabrics are not recommended if you want to highlight the pleats.

MATERIALS:
- All versions: A flat elastic 4 cm wide, cut to your waist measurement: low waist (below navel) for range 1, mid-rise waist (navel) for range 2.
- Version 1: Two invisible zippers of 16 cm (or 18 cm), matching your fabric.
- Version 2 (leg snaps): Four strips of very light fusible interfacing (90 × 2.5 cm). 14 to 20 metal snaps of 12 mm diameter (depending on your leg length).
