PDF - Digital Pattern of the Diane Shorts and Trousers Set by Laeti and Léa from size 32 to 52
Diane is a shorts/pants model that was designed in collaboration with Marie-Sophie, known on social media as a seamstress under the pseudonym @marshamy and as a menstrual educator "Kiffe ton cycle" under the pseudonym @j_etincelle. Very attached to issues concerning female well-being, we designed Diane to be the pants in which you feel good in all circumstances, standing or sitting, without feeling compressed and whatever the variations in belly volume related to the female cycle (or other). For this, Diane is a model including:
- A high elasticated waistband at the back (between the darts)
- An Italian pleat on the front to allow ease at the lower belly.
- A front opening with a fly.
- A wide waistband (4 or 5 cm).
However, we have not neglected aesthetics and have added some details for a model full of curves and softness:
- A rounded waistband.
- Italian S-shaped pockets on the front.
- A zip or visible button fly.
- Asymmetrical patch pockets on the back.
And to wear it in all circumstances, you can choose between 3 lengths :
- Straight pants,
- Carrot pants (length above the ankle bone)
- Short scalloped
Sewing level
Advanced. The technical points are the making of the fly, the Italian pockets, and the assembly of the waistband. Precision is required when forming the pleats, assembling the pieces, and it is recommended to make a toile to validate the size and the drape of the pants. Adjustments (explained in the booklet) may be necessary.
We also advise you to take the time to carefully read the assembly guide.
