PDF - Digital Pattern of the Karline dress and skirt set by Laeti and Léa from size 34 to 52

Karline is the little sister of Kallima, the version with sleeves of the shirt dress model that was conceived in Nina's mind @chutdoo and that we developed in collaboration : its fitted bodice thanks to the princess seams on the front, its collar and V-neckline give it a feminine and elegant look. Depending on the fabric and options you choose, Karline can be both modern and vintage.

Its plus? You have the option to sew only the skirt and you can pair the bodice with the Kallima skirt.

To give your dress the style that suits you, you can choose from the following finishes:

•       Dress or skirt.
•       Pencil skirt or gathered.
•       3 sleeves: 3/4 blouse, flared or puffed.
•       A collar stand with narrow classic (French) collar, wide classic collar, or club collar.
• A tie belt

Sewing level

Intermediate to advanced depending on the options chosen. The technical points are the princess seam cutting, the assembly of the collar with stand, the making of the button placket and buttonholes, the adjustment of the bodice (according to your morphology).

Size guide

This pattern is designed for a height of 1.65 m.n It is available from 34 to 52.

The most important measurements for this model are height, bust circumference, and hip circumference for the pencil skirt. Karline is fitted: if you hesitate between 2 sizes, take the larger one.

I recommend making a muslin of the bodice before starting with your beautiful fabric.

- Pattern sheets in 2 formats (A0 plotter format and A4 booklet). Files with layers: you can choose only the size(s) to print, with or without seam allowances. No cutting for A4 format: the sheets join edge to edge. Pieces without overlap.

The PDF patterns are to be printed by you.

The patterns are in French but a paragraph is dedicated to translations in the booklet.

Required materials

Fabric

Choose a lightweight to medium weight woven fabric (80 to 150g/m2). For all versions: lightweight cotton. For the pencil skirt version: light gabardine, chambray, heavy crepe. For the gathered skirt version: viscose, tencel, linen, silk. For the bodice lining: choose a cotton or viscose voile.

Warning! Values are given as a guide and may vary depending on the options chosen and your ability to arrange the pieces when cutting the fabric.

Small haberdashery

- Some thread matching,  needles appropriate for your fabric.

- Some fusible interfacing* suitable for your fabric (collar, button placket).

- Some fusible interfacing on grain (skirt waist and armholes).

- Some buttons diameter 12 mm maximum (quantity depending on version).

- Some3 cm wide flat elastic (skirt version):

- Possibly anti-fray glue for buttonholes.

* Note : Type and thickness to choose according to your fabric. A fabric interfaced with a woven fusible will keep its natural feel and drape but with more body. A fabric interfaced with a non-woven fusible will have a stiffer appearance.
