Ipanema is a one-piece swimsuit pattern in lycra for girls, available from 2 to 16 years old.

The back neckline is deep, and the straps meet in the middle of the back or are more or less crossed according to your preference.

You can add a bow with or without ties at the base of the straps.

An optional gathered ruffle decorates the straps, then continues along the armholes and the back. It is quite wide at the shoulders and gradually narrows down to the sides or to the middle of the back.

Ipanema can be sewn just as well with a sewing machine as with an overlocker/coverstitch machine; it is easy and quick to sew.

The yardage of the main fabric is sufficient if you wish to cut the ruffle and bow from it.
– Laminette (non-transparent rubber elastic) 8 mm wide: 2.30 / 2.50 / 2.70 / 2.90 / 3.10 / 3.35 / 3.60 / 3.80 m
– Swimsuit lining (for the crotch): 20 x 20 cm (can be replaced by fine light jersey)
