Quidam Riding Leggings — CaPaCha Couture
Quidam is a children's legging designed for horse riding. The waist is elasticated; panels at the seat and lower legs make it possible to add reinforcement fabric to areas exposed to friction. An optional thigh pocket is included from age 8.
Sizes included: ages 3 to 14. Level stated by the designer: beginner ++. The project covers inserting elastic, using a twin needle, overlock assembly and a patch pocket; it requires an overlocker or a sewing machine with an overlock stitch.
Make it in a knit fabric such as jersey, Milano, French terry or mesh. Main fabric required: approximately 0.80 m for ages 3 to 6, 1 m for ages 7 to 10 and 1.10 m for ages 11 to 14. Elastic 30 to 45 mm wide depending on the size: approximately 0.35 to 0.55 m.
Digital pattern with layered A4 and A0 pattern sheets and a projector format. An illustrated tutorial and a complete sewing video are included.
