Pattern for Plural Top with Draped Collar or Hood

PRANA is a versatile top : it can be a light sweatshirt, a blouse, or a pullover, depending on the fabric you choose. The sleeves are flared and gathered at the wrists, bishop style. Its loose cut and low armhole make it a very comfortable garment suitable for all body shapes. It is a relatively short top (at the level of the hips).

❥ The PRANA top comes in two basic VERSIONS and two VARIANTS :

VERSION A WOVEN : this VERSION is sewn in woven fabric. The sleeves are tightened at the wrists with thin cuffs and the waist band ties on the right side.

VERSION B KNIT : this VERSION is sewn in stretch fabric. It includes sleeve cuffs and a waist band which can also be cut from ribbing for a more sporty look.

VARIANT DRAPED COLLAR OR LARGE HOOD : both VARIANTS are compatible with both VERSIONS

LEVEL: Jedi Knight (intermediate)

Note that fluid and/or heavy fabrics (tencel, crepe, viscose, knit, jersey, flannel

wool…) are ideal for achieving a soft, slightly loose drape. These are the fabrics to favour for making a draped collar VARIANT.

To sew PRANA in VERSION A (WOVEN) : linen, poplin, chambray, double gauze, tencel,

crepe, viscose, modal, silk, wool flannel, smooth velvet… for a supple drape at the draped collar,

choose a very fluid fabric!

To sew PRANA in VERSION B (KNIT) : cotton jersey, linen jersey, viscose jersey, fine to medium fleece, soft knit.
