Isalys is a cardigan to be made in knit. It will be both simple and quick to make but also uses very little material.
You can wear it open or closed with the buttoning at the front or at the back. I offer you a short version (as in the photo) or a longer version.

Recommended materials
I made my cardigan in the Mila jersey knit from Atelier vingtsept but you can use many other types of knit, like jersey, sweatshirt fabric, cable knit sweatshirt, viscose knit, ribbed knit, jacquard knit…
Fabrics
- 1.20 meters of knit by 1.40 meters width (short version); 1.40 meters for sizes 42 and up (long version)
OR - 1.40 meters of knit by 1.40 meters width (short version); 1.60 meters for sizes 42 and up (long version)
Supplies
- 6 Buttons with a diameter of about 1cm
- 1.50 meters of blocked cotton ribbon (for finishing the neckline)
- If you use a very stretchy pattern, you can also plan for fusible interfacing on the grainline to place on the assembly seams.
