PDF - Digital Pattern of the Ibis bomber jacket by Instinct Couture (size 32 to 52)
The Ibis Bomber is a decidedly feminine jacket with its V-neck
This bomber is fully lined and has the features typical of its kind, namely, it is zipped and has ribbing at the neckline, cuffs, and waistband.
Thus, it has a so-called balloon cut, the ribbing at the waist creating a blousing effect.
It can be worn both as a mid-season jacket or as a cardigan for colder weather.
By sewing the Ibis, you will learn to:
Sew a lined jacket
Sew a separating zipper
Sew ribbing
For this bomber, mainly consider your bust measurement. The ribbing at the waist allows you to disregard the hip measurement.
If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.

Recommended fabrics
This bomber can be sewn from non-stretch fabric, such as upholstery fabrics (velvet, jacquard), or stretch fabrics such as fleece or sweatshirt fabric. It is designed to be sewn with fabrics that have body; the look will differ with soft fabrics. For the lining, we recommend a non-stretch fabric like polyester to allow your arms to slide easily into the sleeves.
Skill level: 3/5
Time: 3/5
This bomber is accessible to motivated beginners who have already sewn a few garments; it is also preferable to be comfortable sewing stretch fabrics (ribbing). But by following the instructions, you should achieve a lined bomber with great finishes without too much difficulty.
