PDF - Digital Pattern for the Watalibi Bodysuit and Swimsuit by Instinct Couture (size 32 to 52)
The Watalibi Swimsuit is a one-piece suit with a feminine and elegant cut. The front crosses over like a wrap top, and gentle gathers add volume and movement for greater fluidity. The bodice is cut in one piece, beautifully revealing the back. The swimsuit ties at the neck with straps, which you can choose to sew directly into the swimsuit fabric or use an elastic band. Watalibi can also be sewn as a bodysuit.
💡 By sewing Watalibi, you will learn to:
🧷 Sew a swimsuit
🧷 Make gathers
🧷 Sew laminette (with a sewing machine and an overlocker)
🧷 Make a casing seam

The Watalibi Swimsuit should be sewn with fabric suitable for swimwear, that is, a bi-stretch lycra fabric (stretching both across the width and along the grain). It is best if your lycra has an elasticity rate of at least 40%. The higher this rate, the more stretchable and therefore comfortable it will be.
You will also need swimwear lining, which is also bi-stretch and very pleasant against the skin. It is also called foam lining. It usually comes in black, white, or ecru. You can also line your swimsuit directly with your lycra fabric.
For a bodysuit version, choose knit fabrics such as milano, cotton jersey, lurex knits, etc.
