PDF pattern for the Melina bikini

Accessible to all sewers, the MELINA two-piece swimsuit and its pretty ring detail will surely make you stand out on the beach this summer! The MELINA bikini ties behind the neck with thin knotted straps and offers 2 bottom options (low-rise bottom with a ring on each side or high-waisted openwork bottom with 2 rings on each side) and 2 top options (tied or clipped at the back).

The rings can optionally be replaced by fabric ties or simply removed on the bottom.

Sizes : from 34 to 54. Measurement chart provided in the photo gallery.

Level : intermediate or brave beginner.

Included sewing pattern formats:
– Layered PDF pattern A4,
– Layered PDF pattern US Letter,
– Layered PDF pattern A0,
– Layered PDF pattern for projection (unfolded and mirrored pieces, drawn in the direction of the grainline, one layer per size, calibration grids and colored background to show or hide as needed).

Tutorials in French and English, detailed step by step, full of tips and illustrated with more than 70 diagrams and photos. They also provide basic explanations on sewing stretch fabrics and lycra, cutting layouts for each size, as well as keys to adjust the pattern to your measurements.

Express tutorials for experienced sewers also provided in French and English.

Required supplies : main bi-stretch fabric (lycra fabric, performance jersey…), bi-stretch lining (foam, lycra…), swimwear laminette or elastic, rings (optional), clasp (optional). Yardages provided in the photo gallery.

Required equipment: sewing machine, stretch needle. An overlocker is a plus but not essential.
