Endeavour is a timeless sweater inspired by the Breton stripe, with a simple, unisex cut.

Construction and style

The body and sleeves are knitted separately in the round from bottom to top, then joined on a large circular needle to shape the top of the sweater with a series of decreases.

Sizes and ease

From XS to 5XL, for a bust circumference of 76 to 162.5 cm. Finished bust circumference from 90 to 171 cm, with about 12 cm of ease.

The Birlinn Yarn Company Hebridean Colours 4 Ply, 100% wool, 175 m per 50 g, fingering weight.

Yarn quantity

Main color: approximately 690 to 1,620 m. Stripe color: approximately 240 to 540 m.

Gauge

23 stitches x 33 rows for 10 cm in stockinette with 3.5 mm needles.

3.5 mm circular needles for stockinette and 2.5 to 3 mm for ribbing; stitch markers and a yarn needle.
