Saharan Jacket
Bellonie is a classic Saharan jacket, town collar, straight cut. To suit all body shapes, it is enhanced with chest darts. Its comfortable ease will allow you to wear a light sweater or a thin jumper underneath. It can be tightened at the waist for a more fitted look. The bottom of the jacket falls at hip level (mid-buttocks).
❥ Bellonie features the classic markers of the Saharan jacket : pocket arrangements, panels, decorative tabs on the shoulders and/or cuffs…
❥ Bellonie has a simple buttoned front overlap.
It comes in 2 VERSIONS :
VERSION A : fully lined, equipped with large bellows pockets at the front and a belt for adjustable waist shaping.
VERSION B: unlined, featuring a drawstring and cord for adjustable waist shaping and side pockets set into the seam.
❥ For optimal comfort, the lining (VERSION A) of Bellonie has extra ease in length and width. The sleeves also have extra ease.
❥ PDF SEWING PATTERN A4 (US letter compatible) to download / size selection by layers. Actual size, 2 sheets available for each format: with or without seam allowances

Sizes: 34 to 50
To sew Bellonie VERSION A : gabardine, denim, jacquard, cotton twill, fine woollen fabric, smooth or corduroy velvet…Ideal weight: between 300 and 350g/m² (beyond this, making the bellows pocket will be compromised)
To sew Bellonie VERSION B : chambray, linen, cotton canvas, wool crepe. Keep in mind that the fabric should not be too thick to allow the drawstring waist shaping.
VERSION A body lining: poplin, tencel, batiste, cotton satin, flannel…
sleeve lining : satin, silk
The yardages below are calculated to optimize the placement of pieces as much as possible, in order to save the necessary material. If you wish to use fabric with matching patterns, you will need to allow for more yardage.
