PDF pattern - printed shoulder bag

The DARLA shoulder bag pattern offers three size options, each more practical than the last. The smallest version, rectangular and tall, will allow you to easily carry your wallet, phone, and a pocketbook. The medium version, square, can hold a few additional personal items. The largest size, which is a horizontal rectangle, will make the perfect computer printed and will fit most 16-inch laptops.

The DARLA printed, closed at the top with a zip and fully lined, features a front pocket with a flap closed by a button or snap, a zipped back pocket, an inner zipped pocket, and an inner dividing partition. The shoulder strap can be either fixed or adjustable, as you prefer.

For perfect finishes during the final assembly of the bag, choose between flat-felled seams or seams bound with a bias strip, and in this case, you can decorate the outer seams with a decorative piping if you wish. Optionally, you can also add a key holder integrated inside your bag or quilt it if you want to use it as a computer printed.

Required supplies: thick woven main fabric, thin woven lining fabric, zippers, button (or snap), strap. Optional: fusible interfacing (if your main fabric is too thin), roll wadding and non-fusible interfacing (for quilting), bias tape, piping, loops and sliding buckle, ribbon and key holder (yardages provided in the photo gallery).
