Pony is a small romantic dress with a delicately retro look

Its neckline is tied, its sleeves are elasticated at the sleeve hems but also at the shoulders, which gives it all its originality with a little Dolce Vita touch

The skirt is slit at the thigh

The bodice is lined, the dress closes with an invisible zipper on the side

The Pony bodice is tied at the bust, for pretty finishes it is lined

The bust volume is given thanks to gathers

The sleeves are elasticated at the bottom but also at the shoulders, which gives it all its character

The back neckline has a slight curve that softens the lines

The skirt is slit at the thigh

The closure is on the side using an invisible zipper

The elastic at the shoulders is slipped into a casing made with a bias-cut facing strip

At the sleeve hems, the elastic is fixed with a zigzag stitch

Compared to my other patterns, the waistband measurements and the skirt volume are identical to Canopée.

The neckline is less pronounced than the Elegy top/dress, the bow is longer.

Material:

Viscose, light crepe, tencel, silk, cotton, double gauze, linen, chambray …

The bodice and waistband are lined, if you cut everything in the same fabric you will need:

For a fabric width of 140cm: Sizes 32-40: 220cm //// Sizes 42-50: 280cm

If you cut the lining in a different fabric you will need:

Main fabric: Sizes 32-40: 200 cm // Sizes 42/50: 235 cm

Lining: 50cm for all sizes

Supplies:

– Fusible interfacing 35cm

– Invisible zipper 35cm

‑ Special invisible zipper foot

– Safety pin (to thread the elastic through the casing)

– Flat elastic width 0.7cm For the length see chart below

Measurement chart:

To know your size, measure yourself with a tape measure and refer to the chart below.
The “hip” measurement is taken 20 cm below the waist.

The waistband is constructed with 4cm of ease in total, that is, for a size 40: 72cm + 4cm = 76cm in total
