Pattern sewing Dress Margaret
Take a good basic, add pleats (English skirt vibe), a button placket, pockets… and here is Margaret!!
The pretty dress with that little something extra that makes it so special 🙂
Margaret is an “intermediate” type pattern, with it you will learn to strictly respect the position of the pleats, to insert an invisible zipper and
To topstitch rounded pockets.
To wear with or without Bridget, it will give that little “so British” touch to your outfit.

Margaret likes fabrics with a bit of body such as Milano, denim or velvet, but also a gabardine or a slightly heavy crepe.
You can also use wool fabric, but not too soft.
And you, how do you see your Margaret?
More on the conservative side or Rock’n Roll?

Fabric advice / Warp and weft: If you want Margaret to be well structured, with pleats that hold nicely, it’s better to use a fabric that holds well, like twill, denim, gabardine, Milano… But why not try a tencel for a slightly more autumnal dress?
Sewing ideas: Why not make the pockets and the hem of the skirt in a different fabric?
