The Hangaku dress is a gown inspired by the cut of traditional kimonos and bears the name of one of the most famous Japanese samurai women. Hangaku Gozen led an army and was known to be as beautiful as she was formidable. I hope you feel powerful and confident in this dress, just like the woman it honors.

It is a wrap dress model that incorporates the elements of a kimono: flared sleeves and neckline bands. It accentuates the waist with a belt that ties or fastens with buttons. It features a crossed V-neckline at the front and back. The back can also be sewn closed if preferred.

It has a slightly flared skirt, short or long, to suit a ceremony or a romantic dinner.

It can be sewn lined or unlined. You will not need an overlocker.
