Esther is a dress offered to you to celebrate your end-of-year festivities.

It is asymmetrical and will make an impact. The front is dressed with a large gathered ruffle that gives the dress a certain structure. Fitted enough, the dress has a slit at the bottom of the skirt, at the back. It will close with an invisible zipper in the middle of the back.

Size: 34 to 44

Recommended fabrics

I made my dress in jacquard, you can use other fabrics, like cotton, tweed, crepe, taffeta…

The heavier the fabric, the more structured the front ruffle will be; this is mainly what you should consider when choosing your fabric.

Fabrics

  • 1.80 meters of fabric with a width of 1.40 meters
  • 50 cm of lining for the front and back (you can double in the same fabric if the fabric allows)
  • If your fabric is soft and may stretch, plan for 2cm strips of fusible interfacing for the neckline

Supplies

  • An invisible zipper between 50 and 60cm
  • A hook to put at the end of your zipper

Difficulty level: Intermediate
