Onyx is a sewing pattern suitable for beginners that will allow you to sew a super comfortable jersey dress.
You can choose between two lengths: midi skirt or midi skirt.
It is perfectly possible to sew this dress without an overlocker.
Fabric
Stretch fabric in both directions with a minimum of 25% elasticity.
I recommend viscose jersey, modal, tencel, or bamboo as these materials tend to be more fluid than cotton.
Your fabric must be at least 1.20 m wide, otherwise the midi skirt will not fit.
You will need between 2 m and 2.30 m of fabric for the mini skirt, and 3 m for the midi skirt.
(You will find a more detailed fabric yardage and a cutting layout in the instruction file.)
The top is lined; if you plan to line it with another fabric, you can remove 40 cm (1.3") from the given length.
Haberdashery
• Matching thread
• Fusible stretch straight grain tape (for a neckline that does not stretch out)
• Stretch needles for your sewing machine.
