The Charlène dress is the perfect dress for this summer! 

It has a completely low-cut plunging back. Its neckline is gathered and adjustable thanks to the braid that allows you to tie the dress at your neck. The front is designed to cover your bust well at the armholes. 

During the day, it will be ideal to accompany you on the beach over your swimsuit. And in the evening, adorned with some jewelry and a pair of heels, it will look stunning with its plunging back! 

You can choose to line the Charlène dress, especially if your fabric is transparent; everything is explained in the booklet :) 

Charlène is intermediate level; I strongly advise you, if you have never sewn before, to start with a very simple model like the Laura blouse to get the hang of it!

Available sizes: 34 to 50

Necessary supplies

You will need the following to make the Charlène dress: 

Lined version:

• 2.5 m of fabric with a width of 1.40 m for sizes 34-50

• 2.5 m of lining with a width of 1.40 m for sizes 34-50

• A 100 m spool of thread

• 5 mm wide elastic, about 50 cm

UNlined version:

• 2.5 m of fabric with a width of 1.40 m for sizes 34-50
• A 100 m spool of thread

• 5 mm wide elastic, about 50 cm

With ruffle:

• Add 1 m of fabric

For the Charlène dress, I advise you to use a linen,
viscose linen, a double gauze, a cotton voile, a viscose... Fluid fabrics in short. I strongly recommend making the lined version if your fabric is transparent! For the lining, choose a fabric that is lighter than your main fabric. For example, for my viscose linen version, I lined my dress with cotton poplin.

For beginners, I would recommend linen or cotton voile as preferred materials.
