Sewing Pattern wrap skirt

Satine is a wrap skirt, straight cut, length "above the knee". It beautifully follows the feminine shapes thanks to its darts at the waist, front and back. It does not have an attached waistband and is finished with a facing at the waist.

❥ The wrap skirt Satine comes in two versions:
VERSION A: the front features a slight drape, gathered at the waist by a sliding buckle
VERSION B: the front is adorned with 3 large sun pleats

❥ The wrap cut of Satine therefore involves a front overlap closure: the skirt is secured by a sliding buckle for VERSION A and by 3 buttons for VERSION B.

❥ Satine can be sewn all year round depending on the fabric used. Elegant, but also practical and comfortable thanks to its straight wrap cut, Satine suits all body shapes and will be a choice piece to create varied and fashionable looks.

LEVEL: Jedi knight (intermediate)

To sew Satine in VERSION A : fine cotton twill, crepe, tencel, silk, smooth double gauze, soft and fine wool fabric (flannel). The fabric must have some suppleness to ensure the beautiful fall of the drape. Choose a fabric without elastane, that does not stretch widthwise.

To sew Satine in VERSION B : gabardine, fine denim, wool cloth, smooth or corduroy velvet with good body, jacquard, cotton twill. The fabric must have some "stiffness" to ensure the pleats hold well.
