PDF - Digital Pattern for the Françoise Blouse from Atelier Bernie
The Nicole shirt is named after one of my beloved grandmothers . Nicole already embodies the brand since her name forms part of it alongside Bernadette, but I wanted to pay her a very special tribute with this pattern. It is thanks to her help and that of my grandfather from the very beginning that I can still offer you sewing patterns today and live from my passion. I know how proud she will be to know that one of my patterns bears her name, so let me introduce you to the Nicole shirt pattern.
It is a model of a fairly loose shirt, whose double collar is inspired by the last century. I have in mind a nightshirt seen in a period series whose name I cannot find. I wanted to reinterpret several collar shapes in this model, to make it a versatile shirt with which one can have fun.
You can choose to sew it with two collars of the same shape, small and large, or combine two collars of different sizes and shapes.
A version with a single collar is also possible, as well as a version without a collar, finished with a collar stand.
The long sleeve cuffs are also offered in three styles : a classic, a rounded one, and a pointed one to recall (or not) the shape of the chosen collar.
The sleeves are puffed but not excessively. They can also be sewn short with a simple hem or a sleeve cuff for a more romantic touch.
The lined yoke at the shoulders allows for pretty finishes, paired with flat-felled seams to keep everything neat. You can of course choose to make classic seams with overcasting.
Finally, two lengths are offered, a tunic length version and a shorter, straighter version.
You will not need an overlocker.
