The Nyala Blouse is a buttoned blouse that fits the upper bust in a feminine way thanks to its subtly designed yoke
The model is long enough to be worn tucked into trousers. It is suitable for all seasons and occasions thanks to the different options offered in the pattern. You can choose the sleeve length (short, elbow, or three-quarter) as well as the type of drape you want (balloon, pagoda, or puffed)
Several variations are also possible at the neckline, including adding a neckline ruffle for freshness or sewing a shirt collar or Peter Pan collar.

NEW FOR 2023: The model now offers 2 new pointed collar options: one longer than the other. The less pointed one is perfectly suited for adding a small lace braid. The booklet has also been refreshed

By sewing Nyala, you will learn to:
Sew a facing (with neat finishes at the hem)
       Make gathers
       Form a casing
Sew a collar (without a collar stand)

For this blouse, mainly consider your bust measurement. If your hip measurement is more than 2 sizes larger than your bust, it is better to grade between the two sizes from bust to hips.

If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.

Recommended fabrics

The Nyala Blouse is designed to be sewn in a non-stretch fabric.
Depending on the season and the effect you want, you can choose fabrics that are more or less fluid and that crease more or less: viscose, viscose twill, cotton poplin, tencel, lace, satin, crepe, etc.
The model has a facing, so avoid transparent fabrics or take this into account.
The front part of the blouse is in two pieces; you can sew the yoke in a second fabric to create a material contrast or highlight this seam by adding piping or braid.

Sewing level : 2/5

Time: 2/5

The Nyala Blouse is perfectly suited for beginners! It is preferable to have sewn a few pieces before, but the various diagrams in the booklet as well as the video tutorial available on the YouTube channel will guide you through making your top!
