Aney is a multi-option top pattern. With its 2 BASIC VERSIONS and its many variations and options, you can sew blouses and t-shirts all year round, for different uses and varied looks.

❥ Whatever the VERSIONS/VARIATIONS/OPTIONS chosen, Aney features a straight and loose cut, without openings, with clean lines and a neat drape. It is a very comfortable and easy to sew model.

The 2 BASIC VERSIONS

VERSION A : for woven fabrics (non-stretch). The simple basic blouse, the one you will slip on without a second thought! Without frills, it is ideal to showcase your most beautiful fabrics: large prints, embroidered cotton, broderie anglaise…

VERSION B: for knit fabrics (stretchy). The cool, loose t-shirt, to create sporty or masculine/feminine looks.

The necklines

Round neckline : finished with a bias binding for VERSION A, and a neckband for VERSION B.

Square neckline : finished with a facing for both VERSIONS.

The sleeves

To be able to sew Aney all year round and make it a true basic, the pattern is offered with short sleeves (above the elbow), three-quarter sleeves or long sleeves. The option of attached cuffs is compatible with long or three-quarter sleeves.

2 LENGTH OPTIONS

To pair with as many pieces as possible, Aney can be sewn in a SHORT VARIATION (between waist and upper hips), an ideal length to complement a high-waisted bottom for example. The LONG VARIATION (at upper hips) will cover the top of the buttocks or can be “tucked” into trousers, shorts or a skirt.

The little extras

Bonus lining : in the pattern kit, you will find a handy sheet to add a lining to your top (VERSION A). Very useful for sewing it in sheer or burnout fabric 😉

Recommended fabrics:

VERSION A – woven fabrics : poplin, percale, linen, chambray, broderie anglaise, fine denim, fine corduroy, tencel, cotton satin…

VERSION B – knit/stretch fabrics: cotton jersey, linen jersey, interlock, French Terry (It is not recommended to use a knit with more than 40% stretch as it may result in a garment that is too large even if you have chosen the right size).

The facings of the SQUARE NECK VARIATION can be cut from woven fabric, even for VERSION B. They should be interfaced with a fine woven interfacing
