Hortense is a wrap-effect blouse whose neckline is supported by a high collar.

The sleeve hems are flared (bishop sleeves) and gathered to echo the volume of the blouse.

To finish the sleeve you have the choice between 2 cuff styles.

The bottom of the blouse is tightened with a waistband for a blousing effect.

On the upper body, Hortense’s volume is meant to be fitted then flares at the bottom to create the blousing effect thanks to the waistband.

To keep harmony in the volume, Hortense’s sleeve follows the same principle.

Its shoulder is fitted.

Cuffs: 

The pattern offers you 2 cuff options:

  • A simple cuff (1st photo)
  • A cuff in 2 parts which allows creating a contrasting border (1st and 2nd photo, black and white model)

Finishes: 

2 finishing styles are offered each time, you choose according to your level, your fabric and your motivation!

Fabrics:

Yardage: Sizes 34, 36 and 38: 150 cm for a 140 cm width

Size 40: 170 cm

Size 42: 180 cm

Size 44 and 46: 190 cm

Materials: flexibility and a nice weight:

Viscose, crepe, silk, tencel, light cotton…

Supplies:

  • Interfacing: 45 cm by 90 cm width
  • Hand needle
  • Buttons 12 mm: x 2

Measurement table:

To know your size, measure yourself with a tape measure and refer to the table below.
The “hip” measurement is taken 20 cm below the waist.
