The Eugénie blouse is a blouse inspired by the Edwardian cuts of the early 20th century. Its name refers to Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III. Beyond her beauty, she made history through her concern for women's condition and her modernity.

It is a model with a simple appearance composed of a yoke shaping a pretty neckline and highlighted by gathers. Its cut is loose for a puffed effect when worn tucked into high-waisted trousers.

The Eugénie blouse is offered with a yoke, cuffs, and sleeves adorned with inlays of braid and knife pleats. You can use lace braids, broderie anglaise, ladder stitches, embroidered braids... The pattern is designed to use two braids 3cm and 1.5cm wide. If you wish to use braids of different widths, I explain in the YouTube tutorial video how to do it.

The sleeves of the Eugénie blouse are gathered at the sleeve head and at the cuff. They can be plain or decorated with a braid along the arm.

The cuffs are long and offered in two versions: one simple without opening intended for braid inlays, the other classic with a simple slit and buttons.

Finally, a buttoning tab runs along the back to finish this blouse with many details.
