Ideal for starting sewing, with its different versions the Décontracté Junior will quickly become your little BG’s best friend.

Version “A” is a classic round neck sweater and rather fitted.
Version “B” is a hooded sweatshirt with lining and front pocket, with or without zipper, ideal for a trendy and urban style.

It is designed to be sewn with a simple home sewing machine.
It is perfect for a relaxed outfit at home or even under a jacket for a contemporary look.

Recommended fabrics

Jersey sweat, minky, knit, fleece.

The chosen fabric must have at least 30% stretch across the grain (perpendicular to the selvage). A 10 cm sample must be able to stretch beyond 13 cm.
Supplies to plan for

Fabric width 140 cm
– 1.00 m of fabric (6-8 years)
– 1.30 m of fabric (10-12 years)
– 1.50 m of fabric (14 years)
Of course, you will need to take pattern matching into account if your fabric has patterns, in order to establish some symmetry.
- 10 cm of medium iron-on interfacing.
– 2 eyelets
– 0.80 to 1.20 m of cord
– 1 separating zipper (length according to size) for the ZIPPERED version
– a jersey sewing machine needle and a twin needle
