Liverpool sweatshirt pattern by Ikatee - sizes 3 to 12 years (French and English)

Liverpool is a children's zip-up sweatshirt pattern with a hood or high neck and very neat finishes. The fit is loose, slightly oversized, and comfortable, with dropped shoulders. Kangaroo pockets and seams can be added to the front. The sleeves and hem are finished with ribbing.
The essential zip-up sweatshirt, available in versions for all ages.

Available for ages 3 to 12.

What you will learn with this pattern: insert a zip with a clean strip, assemble a fully lined hood, sew pockets, make a blanket stitch, attach a bias binding to the neckline, sew cutouts. Fabric suggestion

• Knitwear: French terry, brushed sweatshirt fleece, sponge, honeycomb, fleece, interlock, Milano knit, quilted jersey, sherpa and teddy on a knit base.
• Ribbed cuffs and lower body bands.
• Optional for hood lining: jersey.

Supplies

• Separating zip made of nylon, metal or plastic
• Thin fusible interfacing
• Stabil-manche or fine woven interfacing
• Optional: bias binding for finishing the collar and zipper

  This pattern can be worked in colorblocking with different fabrics. In this case, we recommend choosing fabrics with similar weights for all pieces.

  If two pieces need to be cut from the same color/fabric, choose the larger of the two. Both pieces will fit within a 140 cm width. For example: in size 3 years, for the upper front yoke (25 cm) and the hood (40 cm), you will need a total of 40 cm of fabric in a 140 cm width.

  If three pieces need to be cut from a single color/fabric, add together the largest and smallest yardages of the three. For example: in size 3 years, for the upper front yoke (25 cm), the sleeves (30 cm) and the hood (40 cm), a total of 65 cm (25 + 40) of fabric in 140 cm width is required.
